If for some reason you do not have a list of Ticket Types already installed and you would like our default list to be installed you can do so as follows:
Go To TICKETS->TOOLS
Click the CLEANUP tab.
Click the RESET button next to Reset ticket types.
Adding A New Ticket Type
To add a new ticket type:
Go To TICKETS->TICKET TYPES
On the left side of the screen you’ll see the fields to fill in to create a new ticket type
Once you’ve filled in your fields, click the ADD NEW TICKET TYPE button at the bottom.
Important Fields
In addition to the NAME of the New Ticket Type, you should pay special attention to the following fields:
The SUBJECT and DESCRIPTION Fields are the fields the will pre-populate the SUBJECT and DESCRIPTION fields on the front-end ticket form.
The Lock Subject checkbox will prevent the user from editing the Subject line on the front-end ticket form.
The Lock Description checkbox will prevent the user from editing the Description on the front-end ticket form.
Deleting A Ticket Type
To delete a Ticket Type, you have two choices:
In the Ticket Type list on the right side of the screen, hover over the link under the NAME column. A series of links will show up – just click the DELETE link.
Click the check box next to the Ticket Type and then select DELETE from the Bulk Options drop-down at the top of the list. Click the APPLY button to delete the selected Ticket Type(s).
Updating A Ticket Type
To update a Ticket Type, just click on the link under the NAME column. This will take you to a new screen where you can make your changes. You can apply your changes by clicking the UPDATE button at the bottom of the screen.
