Revamping the Admin Tickets List Screen

Almost every week, we receive a request to add a new column to the admin tickets list screen. Ticket ID, client name, filterable support staff... Even I think the list view is not that great.  For that reason, we want to redesign this screen, and we'd love to have your feedback and opinions on it. After all, you also use the plugin everyday!

We are releasing version 3.2 today, so these changes will not be effective immediately, but I would like to plan the list view redesign for version 3.3. There is a GitHub issue open on this topic and I hope to gather lots of feedback there. The comments are disabled for this article because I'd like to centralize them all on the GitHub issue.

What I want for the new iteration of the list view is to make it really useful. I want users to know what happens and what's to do in a glance.

The idea of the quick activity stream was good but the way it is currently done doesn't make the plugin easier to use. A better way to display information is needed. First of all, we need to define what columns are really useful and start iterating from there.
